So Much Sky

The NSW Migration Heritage Centre has been working with the Albury LibraryMuseum, Charles Sturt University and the Bonegilla Heritage Park to document the Albury LibraryMuseum’s collection, record oral histories and encourage tourists to visit the Bonegilla Heritage Park and its associated collections at the Albury LibraryMuseum.
Bonegilla is a National Heritage listed place near Wodonga and the Bonegilla Collection is at the Albury LibraryMuseum. The ‘So Much Sky’ booklet encourages visitors to reminisce or learn about the rich history of Bonegilla – the largest and longest operating centre of the post-war era in Australia.Visitors to the NSW Migration Heritage Centre website can plan a trip to Albury-Wodonga to visit the Albury LibraryMuseum and the Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park managed by Parklands Albury-Wodonga.

So Much Sky: Bonegilla Reception and Training Centre 1947-1971 was written by Bruce Pennay, Charles Sturt University for the Albury LibraryMuseum and the NSW Migration Heritage Centre.
