Apron woven 1940s, Velusina, Bitola
Lent by Dana Atanasovska
This apron belonged to Dana's mother-in-law, Bevcana Tasevska, who made it for her wedding. It is typical of wedding aprons from Velusina with a pattern of red lozenges on a black background, and edged with machine-made braid. The deep horizontal creases show how it has been folded for storage
Height: 63 cm, width: 46.5 cm, loom width: 36.5 cm; Cotton warp, woollen weft.
