Menka wove this apron for her wedding in 1948. She used an inlaid yarn to create the pattern of red lozenges on a plain black background. This design is typical of wedding aprons in Velusina in the 1940s. Menka is a skilled textile artist and turned her hand to several different crafts once she was married.
