Apron woven 1948, Velusina, Bitola
Lent by Menka Karanfilovska
Menka made this apron for working in the fields and to carry dock and sorrel back to the village. Like most aprons from Bitola the blue binding reaches only three-quarters up each side of the apron. Unusually the striped design in each panel is matching at the horizontal seam.
Height: 62 cm, width: 50.5 cm, loom width: 34.5 cm; Cotton warp, woollen weft.
