Apron woven before 1968, Velusina, Bitola
Lent by Spasija Naumovska
Spasija's mother-in-law, Ristana Busevska, made this everyday apron.. A vital design feature of these aprons is the horizontal seam fold which allows the wearer to bend over easily while working. The bottom half of the apron could also be lifted up to carry produce. Valued for its warmth during the cold Macedonian winters, Spasija still occasionally wears this apron today.
