Apron woven 1954, Trebenista, Ohrid

Spasija made this apron for her wedding and wore it only once. The trimmings include beading, sequins and lace which Spasija purchased for this traditional apron design. The flowers are made from tiny woollen pompoms. Spasija also wove a bag for her wedding, which was used to carry sweet bread which was eaten when the bride and groom were married.
